Your Role
You'll play a key role in designing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality electrical systems as part of a multidisciplinary team:
Develop full electrical service designs: lighting, power distribution, fire/safety systems, structured cabling, and smart controlsPrepare detailed calculations, load schedules, single-line diagrams, technical reports, and coordinated CAD/Revit drawingsCollaborate closely with civil, structural, mechanical, and sustainability teams to deliver integrated technical packagesSupport energy-efficient and low-carbon design strategies using in-house modelling tools and sustainability best practicesAssist in site surveys, technical inspections, and commissioning tasks as part of project handoverLiaise with clients, main contractors, and internal teams during design reviews and site visitsMaintain compliance with UK regulations and standards (BS 7671, CIBSE, Building Regs)Contribute to internal technical quality assurance, risk management, and value-engineering processes
What You’ll Bring
BEng/MEng or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Building Services3–7 years’ experience in building services electrical design—consultancy or contractor backgroundProficiency with electrical design tools, and CAD/BIM software (Revit experience is a strong plus)Strong grasp of UK wiring regulations and CIBSE standardsEffective communicator with good stakeholder and client engagement skillsDemonstrable attention to technical detail and ability to deliver precision in designsA collaborative team player comfortable working in multidisciplinary delivery environmentsAspiring toward or maintaining chartership (IEE/CIBSE/IET/MICE etc.)
