Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess either an Associate's Degree or at least three years of relevant experience. This role requires expertise in electrical installation design and proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical. The candidate must also have some field experience and an understanding of control panels and control systems. A willingness to travel up to 30% of the year is essential for gathering and confirming field information needed for designs and for startup/commissioning projects.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed electrical installation designs using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and MicroStation.Design PLC-based control systems in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and MicroStation.Select and specify appropriate electrical components.Create and update I/O points based on field data.Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting.Essential SkillsAssociate's Degree or 3 years of relevant experience.Experience in electrical installation design.Proficiency in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.Field experience with control panels and control systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree.Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.Familiarity with material handling, batching, and furnace and forehearth controls in the glass industry.Work Environment
The work environment is primarily an office setting. The role requires up to 30% travel to gather and confirm field information needed for designs and for startups/commissioning projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
