Job Requirements
Work Experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) for electrical drafting.Experience using Navisworks Manage or Navisworks Simulate for clash detection and model integration.Knowledge of electrical codes and standards relevant to oil & gas (e.g., IEC, NEC, API, IS standards).Experience with electrical cable schedules, cable tray layouts, junction box details, and equipment layouts.Ability to read and understand P&IDs, electrical load lists, and block diagrams.Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation basics, and hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx).Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight schedules.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD for oil & gas infrastructure (plants, terminals, refineries, offshore facilities, etc.)Use Navisworks for 3D model review, clash detection, and visualization of electrical systems within multidisciplinary environments.Interpret and update single line diagrams (SLDs), panel layouts, cable routing, lighting, earthing, and instrumentation drawings.Collaborate with electrical engineers, civil/structural, instrumentation, and mechanical teams to ensure design consistency and coordination.Maintain drawing records, ensure version control, and comply with project documentation standards.Support design reviews, QA/QC processes, and generate as-built drawings post-construction.Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for accurate equipment representation in drawings.Work Experience

Good to Have Skills
Experience with SmartPlant Electrical, Revit MEP, or MicroStation.Familiarity with 3D laser scanning and point cloud data integration.Knowledge of electrical system design software (e.g., ETAP, SPEL).Understanding of project lifecycle in EPC environments – from FEED to commissioning.Exposure to BIM workflows and interdisciplinary model coordination.Familiarity with document control platforms like Autodesk Vault, Aconex, or Procore.Prior experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas projects is a plus.
