Electrical Construction Administrator

What you will get up to:

 

Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors. Conduct regular field reviews of the electrical work occurring onsite. Reviewing the construction work against the MCW design documents (drawings and specifications) as well as against applicable codes. Review monthly contractor progress claims for accuracy and validity. Review electrical contractor change orders and quotation associated with additional work for accuracy and validity. Liaise with the general contractor, sub-trades, Project Manager, Job Captain and Project Engineers throughout construction to respond to and address site related issues. Witness system testing and verify functionality of systems. Serve as main point of contact for the prime consultant for any project-related questions/requests. Understand project specifications and objectives and investigate issues promptly and resolve them fairly. Attend site to a built renovated area as required. Proactively identify potential issues. Report on milestone dates and deliverables. Proactive approach to change orders. Provide customer service levels that meet or exceed customers' expectations. Actively work on multiple projects simultaneously. Willing to travel across Alberta with flexibility for overnight trips when required. Overtime as required.

 

What we are looking for:

 

Qualifications, Experience and Education:

 

Educational or trade background in electrical construction, design, lighting, power, fire alarm. 5+ years of industry trade experience required. 2+ years in an administrator / coordinator role an asset. Design background is considered an asset. Experience in building inspection. Understanding lighting, power and system construction methods and the applicable code requirements. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

 

Required Skills:

 

Understanding lighting, power and system construction methods and the applicable code requirements AutoCAD and Revit experience is an asset. Microsoft Office skills required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables. Ability to work under pressure. Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible, organized.

 

Requirement:

 

Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license for the province of Alberta.
