Electrical Assembler IV

INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)

This position is primarily responsible for the electrical assembly of the compressor stations, dispensers and other CNG equipment. This includes building refueling panels, and other electrical devices such as electrical motors, sensors, lighting, ESD’s, modems, and alarm systems. The job requires conduit runs to be bent and installed, wires labeled, pulled, stripped and connected. Operators follow engineering drawings, work orders, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and other written specifications, if applicable, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect the material provided on the work order, as well as the work order itself, for correctness and conformance to the ANGI quality standards.

Complete all electrical wiring using proper assembly methods, data obtained in the manufacturing procedures and good workmanship skills.

Notify the area supervisor of any questionable situation or non-conforming parts, assembly or work encountered.

Bend and install all conduit sizes ½” – 4” including complex conduit runs OR field terminate.

Ability to build specialized Products (Custom) and possess Process Knowledge.

Ability to test and certify to Met Lab and UL standards.

Assist as the main point of contact for trainees assigned.

Ability to perform I/O Checks, Hypots, troubleshoot and repair problems found during testing.

Pull wires through the conduit and assemble connection including proper labeling.

Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working area.

Ensure all work meets company standards.

Additional duties as assigned.

Works safely, proficiently and accurately to control costs while maintaining high quality standards to meet on-time shipping performance.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Complex panel building

Must have blueprint reading, schematics, and fabrication skills

Unique or specialized product or process knowledge that could include UL standards, ability to perform mechanical tasks.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Proficient at bending all conduit sizes (1/2” – 4”) OR ability to perform I/O checks, troubleshoot and repair problems found during testing and could include hypot testing.

Must be Arc-Flash certified.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, engineering drawings, work instructions, work orders and bills of materials, electrical schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply technical understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will have knowledge of Microsoft AX.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

May lead or direct the work of others.
