Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to work on a variety of tasks involving the assembly and operation of electronic and electromechanical equipment. This role requires medium support and guidance and involves working with products and equipment of simple to medium complexity. The successful candidate will follow detailed assembly documentation, including drawings and parts lists, to perform assigned tasks and ensure quality standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble, rework, and operate electronic and electromechanical equipment using detailed procedures, assembly drawings, and manufacturing instructions.Follow detailed assembly documentation to perform assigned tasks efficiently.Complete 'buddy checks' as part of the quality control process.Adhere to workmanship standards and procedures to produce quality products.Record and report quality data in standard quality tracking systems.Complete work orders on time and within expected productivity outputs.Communicate, prioritize, and multitask to achieve team goals.Essential SkillsAssembler experience in manufacturing or production environments.Quality control knowledge.Mechanical and electromechanical skills.1+ years of assembly experience.Ability to work off drawings and blueprints.Eligibility for Reliability Clearance/GCP.Experience working with hand tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience as an Assembler.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work is performed primarily on a manufacturing/production floor with minimal physical exertion. It involves sitting or forward leaning positions with occasional movement around the workplace. The role requires moderate lifting of low weight items and may involve working through a microscope for extended periods. The environment requires dexterity and visual acuity for fine electronic assembly, with some isolation in production and limited exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, and noise. Expect moderate interruptions and occasional high volumes with tight deadlines.

This is a Contract position based out of OTTAWA, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bells Corners,ON.
