The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. 

We are looking for an Electrical Assembler for our Switchboard production team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.  

An Electrical Assembler is responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as LV Motor Control Centers, MV breakers, MV switchgear and Motor Control Centers. 

Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $20.36 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:  

Basic Qualifications

1+ years’ experience performing mechanical assembly (build) of product 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English, including reading, writing, and speaking Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings/layouts/wire lists with minimal to no supervision Experience working with standard hand and power tools both pneumatic and battery operated and wiring tools such as hand crimpers, wire strippers, and accurately read a tape measure. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances Associates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility Proven record in Quality and Productivity  Knowledge of other production areas

Perform sub assembly wiring and final assembly wiring work to the highest level of accuracy and workmanship Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve Work with large power cables including correct method of crimping connectors Perform proper stripping and crimping techniques Assemble components on panels per given layout or drawings Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or ManagementConform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System. Be a strong team player
