We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Apprentice to join the team at our Woodhull, Illinois production location.

What You Will Do:

Assist with the operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, and HVAC, for process and facilityWork with the Maintenance Team to maintain the local Process Control Network, programming standards, and propose new equipment for the locationPerform electrical repairs and scheduled inspections of equipment with Electrician approval, while following all prescribed guidelines and proceduresReview and assist Electrician, Leaders, and Teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and complianceAssist in the service, repairs and troubleshooting of any electrical or mechanical issues that arise  Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, and PSM procedures in everyday work routineMake recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardwareHelp in maintaining the integrity of the PLC automation servers and processorsLearn and understand the strategy for the Process Control Network operating production locations and assist with implementationAssist in the development, installation, inspection, and maintenance of new or enhanced mechanical and/or electrical equipmentObserve, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes while under the instruction of skilled technical personnelPerform preventative maintenance on equipment, vehicles, or machinery

Education:

You have a High School Diploma or equivalent 

What Skills You Need:

Willing and able to obtain additional Electrician training, licenses, and certificationsYou have a valid driver’s license and are willing and able to drive a company vehicle as needed You possess working knowledge and are willing and able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC)You are comfortable with technology and possess good computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required  You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand, and sit for extended periods, Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive liftingYou can work independently as well as in a team environmentYou have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsYou have high attention to detail can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skillsYou value health and safety! You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you, and your colleagues, go home safely every dayYou value serving your customers and know operations must be supported for optimal uptime, so you are willing and able to work hours required of this role to achieve that mission You are willing and able to work rotating shifts and overtime hours including weekend work as needed during seasonal peaks to support production demand

What Makes You Stand Out:

Two-year Technical / Vocational Degree in Electrical, Industrial Technology, Automation, or related fieldKnowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)Previous experience with industrial or electrical production equipment (hydraulics, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, etc.)Experience with E-Maintenance (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory

The salary range for this position $56,780 to $70,970

The salary range for this position is $56,780.00 to $70,970.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
