DuPont’s Safety & Construction is recruiting for an Electrical & Instrument (E&I) Maintenance Technician to join its dynamic team located at its Styrofoam™ manufacturing site in Channahon IL.
Under the supervision of the Production Leader, as an E&I Technician, you will utilize strong knowledge of components and systems to maintain and repair electrical equipment including, but not limited to conveyors, pumps, motors, blowers, fans, compressors, etc. All duties must be performed in compliance with established company, department, and safety policies and procedures.
This position works a 9/80 day shift and requires some on-call duties.
**RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION**
**Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:**
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide effective repairs to all the components of Process Control Instrumentation loops using a HART communicator (e.g. sensors, communications, control systems, etc.).
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose and effectively repair industrial electrical equipment.
+ Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to defined schedules and procedures including routine calibration of instruments.
+ Provide instrument and electrical subject matter expert support for basic process automation, improvement and capital projects, as well as Root Cause Investigations
+ Provide input and support for the design, installation, and upgrade of instruments and control systems.
+ Coordinate outside resources for maintenance and repairs on Motor Control Centers, transformers and other high voltage equipment outside of qualifications/limitations.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
**Requirements:**
+ HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in a similar role -OR- a technical degree in an E&I related field with 2+ years of experience in a similar role is required
+ Ability to read blueprints, drawings and technical manuals for guidance when performing necessary operations for the installation and/or repair of equipment is required.
+ Knowledge of pneumatics, training in Electrical Safety NFPA-70E, and experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System are all a plus

The Pay range for this role is $30.39 - $47.75 Hourly
