We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with specific knowledge of electric motor drives and RFC analysis.
In this role you will be in charge of the system Electrical & EMC design and testing activities covering the following tasks:
Assess and analyze mission System and Operational Requirement Documents, SRD / ORD. Interface main peers, (i.e., System E2E , Avionics, Payloads..) Implement Electrical and EMC/RFC architectures Assess electrical I/F resources, sizing and budgetsAssess RFC issues through modeling and analysis Implement Power architecture in simulation environments Assess energy balance, resources sizing and justificationLead and conduct System and S/S Electrical & EMC IVVQ Support AIV across Product Life cycles Support OPS team for SVTs, FOP, LEOP sims, LEOP and commissioningLead assessment of motor drives interfaces and performancesAssess mitigation techniques of the impinging Electric field generated by satellite antennas and equipment basing on dedicated radar absorber materials and assessed through dedicates computational solver (e.g. CST)EMC and RFC satellite architecture definition, sizing and justificationConducted and Radiated analysis and circuit analysesESD (internal bulk charging, external surface charging, discharge) analysesMagneto static field analysesRFC and Launch Vehicles compatibility analysesEMC and RFC requirements specificationEMC budgeting, frequency and control plan definitionEMC corrective actions design (e.g. filtering, shielding, gasketing)EMC design rules definition for harnessEMC testing at equipment level (setup, requirements, validation)This request is for a permanent position.
The working site is Rome, but it might be required working in other locations for short mid-term periods (e.g. subcontractors technical follow-up, attendance to external test facilities or counseling / support in customer premises)
Short periods of 24h shift working across the full week might be required upon specific program needs (e.g., AIT or LEOP schedule).
About You
Education and experience
You have a Master Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunication Engineering or similar, with explicit focus on radio frequency and EMC.
You are fluent in English (C1 and above certification) both listening and reading.
You have at least 2 years of experience in similar position with at least an experience on Earth Observation, Navigation or Telecom platform / spacecraft design and test phases up to the launch / LEOP and commissioning.
