E2M Technologies BV, an MTS company, is a young company with its main office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. E2M has a wealth of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of electric motion and control loading systems for a wide variety of applications such as vehiclesimulation (aircraft, cars, trains, etc.), entertainment rides, research and development applications and more. E2M products are exported and serviced worldwide from our manufacturing facility in Mijdrecht.  The working atmosphere at E2M is informal, dynamic, challenging, and flexible.For the extension of our Systems Engineering team, E2M is looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a passion for high-tech systems. The Electrical Design Engineer is part of the engineering team and is responsible for the electrical, system, control and safety design of our systems. You will participate in the design of new systems and further development/improvement and maintenance of existing systems.As part of the Engineering team, your main responsibilities will be:Design electrical and control systems used in E2M Products.Specify, design and select electrical, safety and control components, sensors, cables, etc.Design of control cabinets.Participate in design reviews, both internally and with customers.Document designs, produce schematics and other documentation required internally and for customer orders.Technically manage control cabinet production for R&D projects, prototypes and custom systems, collaborating with Production and suppliers.Program (safety) PLC's and controllers.Commission and troubleshoot systems at E2M as well as at customer sites as required.Test systems and analyze the results.Provide technical assistance to the sales and customer support team.Job requirements:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably in measurement and control engineering / automation.Experience with EPLAN or similar electrical engineering CAD/design tool.Knowledge of relevant engineering, design and safety standards and experience implementing designs that comply to EN and CE norms.Affinity with control systems for machines, industrial communication protocols, sensor and servo technology, control cabinet design.Fluently in English.Flexible working attitude.Regular travelling to be expected.What We Offer:An open, modern working environment with short communication lines.Opportunities for growth in responsibilities.Access to courses and personal development opportunities.Competitive salary and benefits.An international working environment.The chance to work with cutting-edge high-tech products.
