Job Summary
At Persistence Prep, we value our staff, and seek to ensure they always feel valued, challenged and inspired. We also believe in empowering our staff, and seek to identify leadership pathways within our organization. The Instructional Coach will work closely with the Instructional Leadership Team in establishing and maintaining a fiercely joyful school culture, creating a college preparatory curriculum for each grade, including the assessments and scope and sequence, and coaching teachers in classroom management and lesson creation and execution. Like all Persistence Prep staff, the Instructional Coach is accountable for building strong and positive relationships with students and families, using data to drive instructional decisions, and actively engaging in collaboration with their colleagues.
Essential Functions
+ Serve as member of the Instructional Leadership Team, participating in weekly planning meetings and instructional rounds
+ Maintain a coaching caseload of teachers, including weekly observation and feedback meetings and data analysis
+ Coach teachers on executing daily, weekly and interim assessments and analysis, implementing highly responsive instructional action plans that bring scholars to mastery of academic standards
+ Drive teachers' growth at high levels through individual goal setting and coaching around classroom culture, curriculum development, lesson creation and lesson execution, and data analysis and action planning
+ Lead content based professional development sessions throughout the year on determined needs
+ Pull Tier 2 and 3 ELA RtI groups, as needed
+ Complete all duties, posts and tasks as assigned

Job Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
+ Minimum three years of successful teaching experience required (urban setting preferred)
+ New York State Certification required in relevant certification area.
+ Demonstrated track record of managing and coaching adults to higher levels of performance
+ Demonstrated ability to work well in a team, especially with parents and community members.
+ Ambition and desire to grow as a leader
