Job Overview:
The EKG Technician performs non-invasive cardiac testing inclusive of ECG, Holter monitoring and assistance with stress testing; provides physicians with data for use in diagnosing cardiac abnormalities; participates in unit quality improvement. Uses an understanding of principles of growth and development to determine each patient’s age-specific needs and provides age-specific treatment.

Required:
High School diploma or equivalentBLSSuccessful completion of a six-month probationary training period under the guidance of a qualified preceptorSuccessful completion of all orientation programsBLS through the American Heart AssociationPreferred:
Previous acute care experience
