EHS Technician - 1st Shift Flex $22.73

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Tech will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The EHS Tech will work collaboratively with management and employees to promote a culture of safety to ensure safe work practices effectively reducing the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acquire knowledge of EHS related operations, functions, and responsibilities.Participate in and conduct compliance reviews, facility audits, and risk assessments.Assist in creating, delivering, and updating required safety training, programs, and policies.Maintain training records, or other EHS data, in compliance with Stanley Black & Decker’s record retention policy.Lead facility safety teams, their reoccurring meetings, and activities.Respond to and investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses for root cause analysis.Prepare incident reports and maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements.Collect, analyze, and report EHS data to management, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Perform routine hazardous waste management activities.Work closely with management, supervisors, and employees to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.2 years of higher education in an EHS, Engineering, or Science related field, Industrial Vocational Certification, OR 2 years of industrial EHS related experience preferred

Work Experience:

Basic working knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety management systems.Prior experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred.
