Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY:This role ssures safe conditions for all the employees, with the goal of reducing incidents and/or accidents and accomplish the legal requirements.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assures the accomplishment of the corrective actions derived from safety incidents in the plant.
Audits and searches for improvement in the safety processes.
Verifies the machines and equipment’s are in the safest condition for their daily use.
Gives feedback to the employees in case of the occurrence of an unsafe act.
Assures any contractor follows the safety internal policies and gives the initial safety talks.
Constant training for the employees in the safety, health, and environment subjects.
Handles and analyzes data and KPI’s to define action plans.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
High impact in the wellbeing of all the employees and the plant infrastructure. The scope for this position is the accomplishment of the legal frame in matters of safety, health, and environmental. Also the accomplishment of internal EHS processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental or related field with 0 - 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
Safety oriented.
Intermediate level of Office package.
English basic proficiency.
Up to 5% Travel Required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Procedure Lock out/tag out.
Knowledge in FMEA methodologies.
Knowledge in evaluation of ergonomic risks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Up to two (2) direct reports.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mainly in plant with the involved conditions such as noise, temperature, projection of objects, etc. Office space with no need to lift, push, turn, etc.
