Basic purpose of the job*
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations by analyzing risks,
supporting safety programs, and promoting a safe and sustainable workplace.
Accountabilities*
1. Maintain EHS and Risk Management systems at a state-of-the-art level,
ensuring full compliance with the latest regulations and standards.
- Support development EHS risk assessment;
- Conduct EHS Self inspections on BIS facility.
- Support EHS audit process from regulatory agencies and BI Corporate.
- Support and monitor EHS CAPA plan (internal and external audits)
2.Support Waste Disposal Management ensuring full compliance and develop/
implement necessaries actions to enhance the process.
- Support Waste Disposal Process management.
- Control Waste Disposal KPIs and propose improvements (Waste reduction or recycling process).
- Manage Waste Disposal Supplier contracts and conduct regular audits.
3. Secure work safety, hygiene and environmental in BIS facilitybased on the legal requirements and BI guidelines
- Realize the safety environment and hygiene for workplace where fulfills the latest regulations and standards in BIS
- Improve working environment by conducting benchmark survey, best practice sharing,
collecting the latest industry standards, new technologies.
- Take appropriate actions to improve accident rate including commuting accident.
- Development actions to enhance Environmental topics.
4. Contribute to Global Networks such as EHS, HPS sites and SD4G initiatives.
- Align with Global EHS and related corporate functions for strategy implementation and goal setting
- Implement strategies and initiatives at site level after having an alignment with the site management team.
- Participate in the global meeting to enhance connectivity with the network and collect the cutting-edge information
5. Deliver the results as committed which are in line with Yamagata and GFE Balance Score Card
- Support development of action plan for activities (committee, training, drills etc.)

Latest EHS requirements, Labour Safety & Hygiene Laws, Japanese and BI Global guidelines/Procedures

External: Regulatory Agencies, Suppliers, Entities
Internal: Yamagata departments, Tokyo Headquarter and Global GFE EHS Network
Job Expertise*
1.Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations and how to apply them in a business setting.
2.Skill in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and using tools like FMEA, HAZOP to identify and mitigate risks / hazards.
3.Capability to analyze EHS data and using reporting tools or systems is essential for tracking compliance and performance.
4.Effective communication and training abilities are crucial for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring employee awareness.

Minimum Education/Degree Requirements*
Degree/Education:
Bachelor’s degree (desirable)

Language:
- English: Advance level (read, write and speak).
- Japanese: Advance level (read, write and speak).
Work Experience:
- Over 1 year of EHS Experience
- Pharmaceutical knowledge is desirable.
- Experience on international network environment is desirable.
