Position Summary:
Manages environmental, health, safety and sustainability activities through implementation of policies and programs in a location. Takes proactive measures to promote well-being of employees and communities where we work. Investigates and maintains records of all work-related injuries and/or illnesses, for assigned location(s). Provides statistical analysis and assists in the development of effective health and safety countermeasures to continuously improve safety standards. May perform activities at alternate locations as assigned by Plant Manager. Establishes measurable standards, conducts routine workplace safety inspections, prepares reports for management and monitors results to ensure continuous improvement of safety standards. Coordinates EHS training, emergency preparedness, and practice drills to raise awareness, promote safety standards and ensure compliance. Performs regular environmental audits and efficiency testing, related to Air, Energy, Water and Waste identifying opportunities and developing corrective actions in coordination with the plant managers and Regional Safety Manager. Identifies, prepares and monitors timely and accurate filing of government reports, permits, certifications and required correspondence.
