Job Summary

Responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards through regular inspections, audits, and risk 
assessments. Recommends and implements safety controls, coordinates hazard removal, and ensures 
compliance with regulatory standards. Delivers training on safety programs and investigates incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions. Works independently on moderately complex projects and collaborates across teams to support a safe and compliant work environment.

As an EHS Specialist ll, you will:

 Lead regular building audits (minimum 2 per month) to identify hazards and ensure compliance with EHS standardsOversee and maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and chemical management programsCoordinate and deliver intermediate-level EHS training (e.g., PPE, Emergency Response, Hazard Communication)Provide suggestions on change in documentation for SOPs and training contentLead EHS investigations and coordinate resources as needed. Investigate incidents and near-misses; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actionsTrack and analyze EHS data and trends to support continuous improvement initiativesAssist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams on safety-related projects and initiativesProvide guidance to EHS staff or Building Safety Representatives

To be considered an EHS Specialist ll, you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field or minimum 4 years of relevant EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentExperience with chemical safety, LOTO, and regulatory compliance programsStrong working knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant regulationsAbility to conduct risk assessments and implement hazard controlsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS data tracking systemsStrong communication and presentation skills; able to train groups of various sizesAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and recommend improvementsSelf-directed with strong organizational and time management skillsComfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments

A successful candidate may also have:

OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
