**Job Title:** Senior EHS Specialist
**Location:** Dallas, TX (100% On-Site)
**Type:** Contract (3–6 months, possible temp-to-perm)
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST (flexibility required)
**Pay Rate:** $49.30 – $52.81 per hour
**About the Role**
We are seeking a **Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist** to support EHS programs and compliance at our Dallas facility. This role is responsible for coordinating EHS activities, driving compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and supporting continuous improvement in plant safety and environmental programs.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise in EHS systems and the ability to partner with plant leadership, production, maintenance, and engineering teams. This is a hands-on role where you will mentor other EHS professionals and play a critical part in fostering a strong safety culture.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Guide and oversee EHS activities across the site, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
+ Lead incident investigations, develop corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned.
+ Monitor EHS performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Manage environmental compliance programs, including permitting and sustainability efforts.
+ Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; track and close corrective actions.
+ Develop and deliver employee EHS training and support onboarding for new hires.
+ Partner with leadership teams on capital projects and hazard studies.
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EHS policies, tools, and programs.
+ Mentor junior EHS specialists and influence safety culture across departments.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical/Environmental Engineering, or related field (preferred).
+ Minimum of 4 years of EHS program management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
+ Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
+ Experience with Process Safety Management and Management of Change (preferred).
+ Certifications preferred: CSP, ASP, CIH, CEP.
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work flexible hours and travel if needed.
+ Comfortable standing for extended periods (>90% of work time).

**Pay Details:** $49.00 to $52.00 per hour
