Job Summary:

The Large Power System Division currently seeking an EHS Specialist to serve as an individual contributor on the Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance. 


What you will do:  

Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization’s operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.Audit safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.Monitor periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.Develop and write safety procedures.Lead and/or participate in incident investigations.

Skills you will have: 

Risk Management: Working knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Overcoming Resistance to Change: Working knowledge and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Extensive knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar disciplines preferred.Safety certifications such as ASP, CSP, CSM

Summary Pay Range:

$95,640.00 - $143,520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
