As the EHS Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the EHS Manager in deploying EHS requirements and creating a mature EHS culture within the plant. This includes providing technical expertise. The holder is responsible for influencing line management and promoting leading EHS behaviours. The holder is responsible for advising management and plant employees on compliance of EHS legal requirements as well as Group and Sector EHS standards and policies. Your responsibilities:Identify applicable EHS legislation and advise management on compliance. Advise and assist Plant EHS Manager in compliance with JM Group EHS requirements including Policies, guidance, standards and EHS reporting requirements, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standard requirements. Ensure Life Saving Policies are understood, training delivered, and compliance monitored. Ensure that Group and Sector EHS initiatives are adequately deployed across the siteEnsure the EHS arrangements in place to meet legal and JM requirements are internally audited, actions agreed and completion tacked.Implement occupational health exposure monitoring and advise on control strategies to achieve agreed exposure limits. (Legal and Group)Liaise with external parties on compliance with legal permits and other requirements.Ensure all emergency evacuation plans and procedures are robust, executed and continuously improved.
Requirements for the role:
Hold or complete recognised degree certificate in any fieldCertified Professional in Safety and Health Officer (SHO)Have knowledge in Manufacturing , basic knowledge in Process Safety , knowledge on Radiation Safety and Protection program .Have sound knowledge and skills in IH/ OH ProgramAble to conduct high quality and detailed Risk Assessment e.g. HIRARC, EAI, JSA/ JHA.Able to conduct Process Safety Risk Assessment e.g. HAZOP Study, PSSR, LOPA etcAble to conduct high quality Incident Reporting and Investigation including the root cause analysis (RCA) and Human Factor Analysis.Have sound knowledge on Safe Work Practices program (e.g. WAH, LOTO, PTW, manual handling, heavy lifting, confined space etc.), as per JM Group EHS requirementExperience in EHS Management System particularly in Environmental & Sustainability, Occupational Safety & Health and Emergency Response Plan (minimum 4 years)Proactive, devise, monitor and review the daily/ monthly EHS & WWTP reporting.Computer literate e.g. Microsoft Office, SharePoint, eSWIS etc.Have knowledge on IATF16949, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standard How you will be rewarded:We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package including bonus, excellent pension contributions and generous annual leave.
