This position is responsible for providing operations and leadership support to the Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor.
Shift: DC FT 1st FH 545-1615 Sunday - Wednesday (Front Half Days, Sunday-Wednesday)
ResponsibilitiesPromotes and takes an active interest in generating safety awarenessAssists EHS Supervisor in planning and organizing safety initiatives & activities by understanding priorities and takes a proactive approach to execute on safety deliverables & activitiesEffectively communicates with associates & leadership team both orally and in writingPartners with Leadership Team to assist associates in sustaining a strong safety cultureUpdates safety-related reporting & communication boardsProvides facilitation & support for safety training needs for assigned campusAssists in facilitating safety committee meetingsPossesses common knowledge of all DC systems and equipment, ensuring Associates follow procedures and provides performance feedback to SupervisorQualificationsExceptional attendance and performance record and ability to maintain those standardsKnowledge of PC’s and software and the ability to quickly learn new systemsExperience using Microsoft Office applicationsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop and maintain positive working relationships and interact in a constructive manner with all levels of associates and leadersMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job and assist in all areas, with passion around safety culture & associate engagementKnowledge of EHS management systemsKnowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulationsEducationHigh School diploma is requiredAssociate degree or higher is preferred but not requiredCore Competencies
