POSITION SUMMARY

The EHS Specialist supports the plant’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program across all shifts. This key position collaborates with all levels of plant employees to ensure all aspects of the EHS program is a priority focus. Located at our Florence, Kentucky site, the EHS Specialist reports to the EHS Manager.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

An EHS Specialist is responsible for but not limited to the following:

Supports plant environmental, health and safety (EHS) program including facility compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Solenis policies and procedures.Drives continuous improvement in EHS programs, including, compliance documentation, emergency response organization, and people developmentFacilitates EH&S programs including RC/14001 compliance at the plant levelAssists with the improvement of environmental performance under CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, SARA regulationsChampions safety and health performance under OSHA regulationsSupports EHS training initiatives both in person and computer-based learning

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High School diplomaAt least 3 years of work experience with EHS regulations; OSHA, CAA, CWA, RCRA, SARA, TSCA, CERCLA and DOT in a manufacturing environmentExperience/ knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, SAP or other comparable ERP system, and Microsoft OfficeHighly preferredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or ChemistryFluency in two or more languages (English, Spanish, French)

The expected compensation range for this position is between $69,000.00 and $115,000.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
