Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable EHS Specialist to lead our company’s environmental, health, and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing policies that ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role is critical to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor company EHS policies, procedures, and programsConduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirementsLead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrenceProvide EHS training to employees and leadership, including onboarding safety orientationMaintain accurate records and reports related to injuries, inspections, and regulatory complianceEnsure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and wasteManage environmental permits and reporting as required by local, state, and federal agenciesServe as the point of contact during regulatory inspections and auditsCollaborate with management to identify workplace hazards and recommend preventive measures



Work Experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field3+ years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial settingIn-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsProfessional certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM)Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management softwareAbility to lead by example and influence a culture of safety
