We have an immediate need for an EHS Specialist [Manufacturing] at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL The primary focus of this role is to design and implement systems to protect workers and the environment from hazards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, and developing safety programs.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsConduct regular safety inspections and audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actionsCollaborate with senior safety engineers to analyze incident reports and develop strategies to mitigate future risksParticipate in safety training sessions and workshops to educate employees on best practices and safety protocolsSupport the investigation of safety incidents, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up on corrective measuresHelp maintain safety equipment and ensure all safety documentation is current and accessible

Work Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety management, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years experience in a EHS function with understanding of safety regulations and compliance standardsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenDue to the nature of the work, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred:

Experience in a safety-related role or internshipFamiliarity with risk assessment methodologies and safety management systemsRelevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plusExperience in AutoCAD 

Exempt Salary Range: $60K - $75K, DOE
