Title: Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Manager
Location: Salem, Oregon.

Ingredion is hiring an EHSS Manager responsible for the buildout and maintenance of processes, protocols, and programs related to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security for Kerr’s Salem, Oregon, and Oxnard, CA facilities. This role will require an inspirational leader who drives change with and through colleagues and functional managers. Working with Ingredion corporate to align and implement best practices.
What you will do:
Business
Collaborating with functional managers to ensure engagement and implementation of programs and initiatives
Connecting with corporate EHSS managers at other facilities to share best practices to develop programs that ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local, regulations and Ingredion Corporate standards and guidelines.
Develop/manage and lead the security protocols/processes for the plant's employee safety and compliance with FSMA.
Understand the respective state Workers' Compensation laws for the plants within the region.
Develop processes and procedures to ensure incident and injury reporting is conducted timely and accurately.
Ensures investigations are thorough and sites implement effective preventative and corrective actions.
Responsible for ensuring sites maintain environmental compliance about air, water, sewer, and storm water, including monitoring for changes in regulations and developing training programs for site employees.
Guide safety activities and training including the site safety committee leadership.
Set annual metrics and training requirements for EHSS goals and focal points for the region.
Develop training programs to administer via classroom or digital learning management platforms.
Works with the employee-run safety committee to facilitate effective meetings, and site audits and complete timely follow-up of findings.
Agility and Innovation
Develop and implement safety improvement plans to ensure progress towards continuous improvement and overall company goals.
Motivate plant personnel to engage in proactive EHSS and sustainability activities to drive program and performance improvements.
Ability to deal with ambiguity in a high-speed environment.

Ability to build trust and confidence on all levels within the Ingredion organization and local site.
Ability to effect change through persuasion and effective communication with a strategic mindset and the ability to tactically execute and refine programs.

Demonstrated strong employee relations skills (change management, facilitation skills).

Who you are:
BS or MS degree in an Industrial Health or science related field preferred.
Greater than 5 years’ experience in safety, health, and environmental management in a manufacturing environment.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Medical, Fire Prevention, Security Defense knowledge.
Good investigation techniques to find root cause and proper corrective actions.
Good speaking and presentation skills.

$98,800.00-$131,733.33 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
