Position: EHS Manager, GSC

Reporting to: Natalia Khomenko, Factory Lead
Location: Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the site’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The goal is to ensure full compliance with local legal requirements and corporate standards, foster a proactive safety culture, and safeguard the health and well-being of all employees, contractors, and visitors. This role also plays a key part in promoting environmental sustainability across factory operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Full accountability for EHS management in accordance with Spanish legislation (RD 39/1997), including: Conducting and maintaining risk assessments Developing and executing preventive action plans Leading safety training and awareness programs Promoting a strong safety culture across all organizational levels through engagement, visibility, and example-setting Managing emergency preparedness and evacuation plans Coordinating the activities of the Health & Safety Committee Ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, including audit and inspection readiness Develop and maintain EHS policies and procedures in line with legal obligations and corporate expectations Guarantee full legal compliance and internal standards for all environmental, health, and safety matters on site Lead EHS planning for the ASP process and support ISO-based systems: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 Monitor EHS KPIs, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives Investigate all incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions Oversee EHS compliance of contractors and third parties performing work on site Deliver initial EHS training for new employees and establish recurring/refresher training programs Monitor and manage environmental aspects such as waste, emissions, and energy consumption; support sustainability goalsPROFILE – WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental management Official Master’s Degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (Spain) Fluent in both English and Spanish Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently Strong communicator, able to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
