Position Overview
The EHS Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has primary responsibility for providing Environmental, Safety, Health and Security expertise to the Michigan Center facilities.
This EHS Leader will oversee EHS objectives for regional entities by complying with Federal, State, Local and Internal requirements. They would operate in a manner that minimizes environmental, safety, health, security risk, and company liability using EHS tools: webpage, databases, online training, and programs guidance, to implement activities, programs, and training for existing and pending EHS & security requirements while recognizing and resolving dangerous, potential loss, and noncompliance situations.

50% Leadership and Staff Development
Direct the leadership team on training and program implementation at this locationOrganize and lead assigned EHS programs while maximizing impact and enhancing employee developmentTrain and develop plant leadership/engineers using EHS tools: webpage, programs, standards, and databasesProvide safety coaching, mentoring, and guidance to employeesWork with the EHS corporate department personnel to provide EHS expertise in support of the corporate and plant goalsServe as a resource and work closely with the global safety representatives and other individuals/groups to identify, develop, and assist with implementation of global safety and health programs, processes and practices at the division, country and plant level25% Implementation of EHS & Security Programs, Policies, Processes and Assets
Identify and translate EHS requirements into applicable rules for the plantSupport the development of programs based on existing and emerging regulations, coordinate with insurance carriers for safety and property loss activitiesHelp develop and implement policies, standards, and guidelines that support H.B. Fuller’s EHS philosophies and business needsMaintain and drive Safety KPI’sSupport the ongoing and long-term plans for the company industrial hygiene programSupport the global EHS auditing in coordination with the Corporate HS ManagerSupport the PSM Management plan in coordination with the function20% Audit and Risk Management
Assist the coordination of Process Safety Management activities and other related management systems; and identify gaps in compliance activities.Review, guide, and evaluate H.B. Fuller assigned locations on actions to correct audit recommendationsBe a hands-on resource for the plant to address audit and any other plant safety issuesInspect to improve housekeeping and check for fulfillment of data standards and completeness of work.Review capital and facility or process plans at H.B. Fuller facilities, counsel on plans to promote/streamline EHS practices through better physical design, coordinate reviews with Corporate EHS and insurance carriers, and communicate recommended modifications to the facility managementProvide active follow-up to resolve any safety concerns promptly5% Other

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $93,000 - $130,000.In addition to your salary, H.B.
