EHS Leader
Job Description SummaryResponsible for enabling business strategy and performance by applying technology solutions to EHS processes and priorities, managing data structures and/or systems for the purpose of automation and decision making. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures, practices, licenses, permits, site-specific EHS documentation, records and plans to assure compliance with Israel regulations and GE Global requirements (OSHA, Code du travail Français, EU Directives, GEHC Internal policies and standards, etc.)Engage and influence leadership commitment to EHS and coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS prioritiesManage key EHS performance indicators (KPI) for the site and drive necessary efforts for successLead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actionsAnalyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performanceInterface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies, as neededExecute required actions to implement and operationalize a sustainable EHS management systemDrive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspectionsPartner with global EHS team to manage site EHS compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, etc.)Able to influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practicesCollaborate with Operations and other teams to implement programs to include change management and drive a proactive and positive safety culture

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, or closely related degreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in successful EHS program implementationHigh say/do ratioDemonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environmentStrong knowledge of Israel EHS related regulatory requirementsExcellent leadership, program and project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate using Hebrew and English

Self-starter with high energyAdvanced computer skills and reporting tools (knowledge in Gensuite is a plus)Internal Auditor experience or certificate1-2 years’ project management experience
