EHS & Facilities Manager

**Job Description:**
The EHS & Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective management of the Hillsboro facility’s infrastructure and environmental, health, and safety programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, promotes a safe and sustainable work environment, and oversees maintenance operations and capital projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Environmental, Health & Safety (70%)**
+ Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory bodies.
+ Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
+ Maintain records and documentation required by federal, state, and local agencies.
+ Train employees on safety procedures, CPR, HAZWOPER, and emergency response.
+ Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings and coordinate emergency drills.
+ Manage waste disposal and hazardous materials programs.
+ Promote sustainability initiatives including recycling and energy conservation.
+ Serve as the primary contact for emergency services and regulatory inspections.
**Facilities Management (30%)**
+ Oversee building maintenance, repairs, and upgrades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
+ Supervise Maintenance Technicians and custodial staff.
+ Manage vendor contracts for landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, and security services.
+ Coordinate construction projects and building modifications.
+ Monitor and manage facility-related budgets and capital expenditures.
+ Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
+ Ensure compliance with building codes and internal policies.
+ Conduct inspections and identify building repairs.
+ Maintain inventory and order repair parts as needed.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
**Education:**
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
**Experience:**
6+ years of relevant experience in EHS and/or Facilities Management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
**Skills & Abilities:**
+ Strong oral and written communication
+ Organizational and project management skills
+ Technical knowledge of building systems
+ Budgeting and critical thinking
+ Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
+ Proven ability to train and develop teams
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge of EPA, OEPA, OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI regulations
+ Experience working with regulatory agencies
+ Facilities and infrastructure expertise
**Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:**
+ Work performed in office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
+ PPE required in manufacturing areas (steel toe shoes, eye protection).
+ Regular standing, bending, stooping, walking; occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
**Compensation Information:**
$76,590.00 - $127,650.00 annual based on experience.
