**EHS Engineer 2:**
The Health and Safety Engineer ensures compliance with all regulatory health and safety requirements, working under general supervision. The role helps in conducting risk assessments, with significant risks promptly communicated to leadership for timely interventions, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and also conducts internal audits and trend analyses.
**Your role:**
+ Ensures that the organization comprehends and meets all local, state, and federal regulatory compliance requirements related to Health and Safety in the workplace and maintains proper documentation and records of compliance activities and incidents.
+ Provides support in conducting safety observations, job safety analysis and risk assessments and promptly communicates significant risks to leadership to ensure timely and effective interventions.
+ Provides technical expertise to support the development and implementation of effective Health and Safety programs aligned with industry standards and organization requirements, working under general supervision.
+ Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure Health and Safety program effectiveness and prepares and presents management reviews to site leadership, detailing current performance, areas of concern etc.
+ Performs internal audits for Health and Safety programs and procedures, analyzes trends, determines root causes and conducts summary reporting highlighting key insights and recommended actions.
+ Ensures accurate and timely investigations into Health and Safety accidents and incidents, working with the management teams to implement sustainable preventative actions.
**You're the right fit if:**
+ You’ve acquired 4+ years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) roles, ideally within the medical devices/health industry.
+ Your skills include regulatory compliance, incident investigation, EHS risk management, and developing and delivering safety programs and training. Experience in KPI monitoring, regulatory reporting, and audit execution is also highly valued.
+ You have an Engineer degree in Environmental Technology, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
+ You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
+ You bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to engage stakeholders across different functions. You’re comfortable working independently, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to crisis management when needed.
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
**This is an onsite role. Shift: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.**
