Description Now Hiring an EHS Coordinator in McAllen, TX!

Pay: $21.60/hr. Paid weekly

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

  EHS Coordinator Responsibilities: Developing and implementing EHS policies and compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements like OSHA and EPA standards. Coordinating and delivering EHS training on topics such as hazardous materials handling, PPE use, and emergency preparedness. They also disseminate EHS communications to raise awareness of safety practices. Conducting inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and recommend corrective actions. Investigating incidents, performing root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste according to regulations, and maintaining safety data sheets (SDS). Developing emergency response plans and conducting drills, as well as participating in incident management. Maintaining detailed records of incidents, compliance activities, training, and manuals, and submitting required government reports. Leading efforts to improve safety and environmental practices based on trends and new regulations. Working with other departments and acting as the primary contact for regulatory agencies.

 

EHS Coordinator Requirements:

At least 2-5 years of relevant EHS experience in a manufacturing setting. High School diploma Fluent in English and Spanish Strong understanding of local, state, and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA) Knowledge of hazardous waste management and industry-specific standards like ISO 14000 is also valuable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint
