As an EH&S Specialist, you will lead audits, inspections, and investigations, coordinating the resolution of issues and working closely with management to facilitate risk management decisions. Your role involves developing and reviewing Lockout/Tagout Procedures, coordinating and monitoring the Contractor Safety Program, and conducting regular walkthroughs to monitor behaviors, activities, and conditions. You will coach and mentor employees while delivering environmental, health, and safety trainings to ensure their knowledge and understanding of safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, you will conduct hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and review proposed new chemicals, processes, and equipment.
ResponsibilitiesDrive thorough investigations for all incidents and accidents and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.Lead the team in developing effective root cause analysis and countermeasures.Support non-routine work permitting and manage the SDS Database and chemical inventory.Support SPCC, air emissions, wastewater, and stormwater testing, monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting requirements.Manage hazardous and medical waste programs, including documentation, inspections, handling, storage, and disposal.Support ISO14001 Implementation.Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Management, or Life Science Field.2+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) preferred.Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.High level of organizational and analytical skills.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $41.00/hr.
