The Educational Diagnostician assesses and diagnoses thelearning problems of students. The Educational Diagnosticians works within thescope of a multidisciplinary team of professionals to make decisions regardingthe placement and support of students with learning disabilities.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s Degree preferred Teaching experience preferred  Certification as required by State and/or contractRegulations Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Must be at least 18 years of age

This position is a member of the District’s Diagnostic Team (there are 4 other members) for assistance

Day to Day Duties:

 Therapy type services.

in charge of administering assessments as part of a student’s educational evaluation process; along with writing the Evaluation Report and conducting the Eligibility Determination meeting. Some Districts call this position a Psychological Examiner as others call it an Educational Diagnostician. The person must hold a Psychological Examiner certification (in order to be able to conduct IQ assessments); in addition to having experience in Special Education and compliance standards
