Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: As an Education Consultant 4, daily responsibilities include: + Oversee the development and implementation of instructional support resources for K-12 students with disabilities. + Serve as the lead project manager for implementation of the Special Education Playbook. + Oversee the SPED Fellow Academy Program by serving as the lead project manager, subject matter expert, communication liaison, and agency representative for this program. + Analyzes, evaluates, and approves vendor curriculum and professional development as the Division of Diverse Learners liaison. + Builds structures for communication and collaboration across teams within and outside the Department to ensure projects and policies related to students with disabilities are integrated and coherent with Department strategy and initiatives. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected. Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
