We are looking for an Education Consultant 1, 2, or 3 to facilitate programs that increase student opportunities as they make the transition into post-graduation pathways. Preferred Experience The preferred candidate should have experience with programming specified above and experience as a teacher or with educational programs. Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience plus two years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree plus one year of experience in education, teaching, or administrative services. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Provide support and guidance to school systems running programming offering transitional postsecondary and career support services + Create, monitor, and evaluate contracts for students participating in dropout prevention programming + Provide guidance on diploma endorsements and facilitate the diploma and seal ordering process + Facilitate the selection of candidates in scholarship programs Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected. Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group. As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Education Consultant 1/2/3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. **Note regarding the advertised pay range: The Education Consultant series have a special entrance rate of $25.30 hourly, $2024.00 biweekly that is above the minimum hire rate for these positions. The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career andnot the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire .
