Our Education and Prevention Practitioner will play a vital role in developing and delivering prevention and early intervention activities in Liverpool. Working closely with community stakeholders, you will lead efforts to promote health, raise awareness, and reduce harm related to substance misuse. From designing training programmes to developing digital resources, your work will have a direct impact on the wellbeing of our community members.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £32,002.35- £34,214.20 dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
ResponsibilitiesAbout the role:
Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration.Develop and implement effective health promotion and harm reduction strategies and programmes.Deliver targeted training sessions on substance misuse prevention and intervention.Promote the use of digital resources such as the Lower My Drinking app to engage community members.Actively participate in events to promote our services and raise awareness.Ensure service user involvement in the development and delivery of programmes.Contribute to the development and review of service priorities and action plans.About You:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of issues related to substance misuse and its impact on individuals and communities.Experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating training programmes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Digital skills, including proficiency in social media and digital resource development.Commitment to personal development and safeguarding principles.Desirable Skills:
Driving license and access to own transport.Recognised qualification in substance misuse or related field.Experience in facilitating forums or group discussions.What we will give to you:
