Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
NBC10 Boston, NECN and Telemundo Boston is looking for a team player to join us as an Editor. In this role, you will be responsible for editing stories, including spot news, promotable content, social media content, special projects, and show edits.
Responsibilities
+ Will edit on Adobe Premiere edit systems as well as proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
+ Will create graphics for promotable content and be responsible for incorporating animation.
+ Create, edit and post social media content on various platforms in multiple aspect ratios
+ Respond quickly to breaking news while taking directions and interacting with the assignment desk, reporters/anchors, production, control room, and appropriate Telemundo/NBC personnel.
+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
+ Minimum 3 years editing experience in a medium or major market TV News station
+ Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
+ Minimum 3 years of experience operating communication tools and staying connected with the assignment constituencies (i.e. use of email software, cell phone, messaging tools, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
+ Knowledge Adobe Premiere edit systems.
+ Team player who is flexible
+ Bilingual Spanish and English; both written and verbal
+ Must be self-motivated, collaborative and possess a high level of creativity to tell stories with sound and images.

+ Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights.

+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
+ Must accept Solutions as NBCUniversal’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
+ Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
