The Business Proposals Team primarily responds to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with persuasive, responsive bids to acquire new business and retain existing business for the company. **Who You Are** A curious and collaborative worker who: + Has sophisticated editing and proofreading skills required to produce documents that are grammatically accurate and well organized. + Has an excellent grasp of the written word, with the ability to adjust tone and style to meet various project needs. + Has the ability to edit text from multiple writers to build one voice. + Has a high level of reading comprehension. + Has the ability to ensure text is aligned with defined specifications. + Can translate complex ideas and concepts into easily digestible text. + Communicates and collaborates with a variety of individuals with many professional backgrounds. + Has the ability to ensure all landmarks are met while handling multiple deadlines. + Isn’t afraid to ask questions to understand a topic. + Can produce work that meets department standards and conventions. **What You’ll Do** The Proposal Editor collaborates with proposal managers, writers, and graphic designers to build continuity of style, content, and voice while ensuring accurate technical and sales messaging has been incorporated throughout the proposals. The Proposal Editor must have an understanding of both the technical side of writing and the ability to edit while preserving the author’s meaning and voice. The Proposal Editor edits proposal text for clarity, grammar/punctuation, content and language consistency, tone, structure, and flow. The Proposal Editor will develop standard style conventions, on a project-by-project basis, to maintain consistency throughout technical proposal sections. In addition, the Proposal Editor works to ensure content remains compliant and follows RFP specifications. **Qualifications** + 5 years of experience on editing, writing, communications, marketing, or related. + Education: BA/BS preferably in a major such as Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or similar. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
