The FactSet Events and Transcripts covers earnings calls for companies around the world, with coverage beginning in 2003 for events and transcripts. Coverage for securities is determined by market capitalization, exchange listings, index membership, and most importantly, client demand. Company earnings calls have long been a key source of information for investors. Since the early 2000s, FactSet has been an industry leader in collecting and transcribing company events across the globe. FactSet covers six distinct event types: earnings calls, presentations, special situations, sales calls, analyst/investor meetings, and guidance calls.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Editor 2, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

·       Ensure assigned Raw transcripts are reviewed with the audio and every major, minor, grammatical, & immaterial error is rectified as per verbatim.

·       The Corrected transcripts are to be completed with a minimum quality benchmark which is measured by an error score of 1.6 per 10 minute of audio.

·       Edit the transcript at a TAT of 3.6x or less measured against length of the call. Edit 80 to 100 minutes for a given shift.

·       Back-up for TL (Shift POCs only): In the absence of TL take the lead in interacting and coordinating with FCAs in getting work assigned as per available team size. Assign work to Editors in the shift. Request for open edits in the absence of scheduled work. Be a mentor (when required) for new hires in the team. Capacity management ensuring the team is correctly occupied and business is as usual

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·       Listening Ability: To be able to review the transcript while listening to different accents

·       Typing Skills: To be able to type/edit the transcripts faster and accurately

·       Strong Knowledge of Financial terms: To understand the context of the calls and terminologies being used as the calls are majorly related to the financial performance of the company.

·       Research Skill: To be able to research the relevant Products, Executive names not easily understandable in the audio

·       Ability to work under Pressure: The nature of the work is highly tiring both physically and mentally

·       Excellent English Grammar knowledge: To appropriately punctuate and edit the transcript

·       Exposure to various accents  Editors do work on edits from multiple geographies
