Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
This editor will work with CNBC’s Personal Finance and Strategic Content teams to help prepare the annual Financial Advisor 100 ranking.
The editor will verify the accuracy of the data provided by the RIA firms as we prepare the list, checking to ensure all the criteria is met. This requires making phone calls and/or sending emails to the firms, as well as reviewing SEC data. Such accuracy checks may be needed multiple times, and for a broad number of firms, as the list develops. The editor will also review the prepared advisor entries for content and style.
As needed, the editor will also work with the Personal Finance team to edit stories tied to the FA 100 launch and its related sponsored special report.
