About the Job JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this role is to manage the PetSmart EDI landscape and to provide day-to-day coordination and support of EDI Operations. PetSmart’s EDI environment consists of 30+ EDI transactions (ANSI X12) across 1,400+ trading partners. As a valued member of the EDI team, it is the responsibility of the EDI Analyst to be a subject matter expert providing EDI expertise to project initiatives as well as daily production support activities. This position will be responsible for full cycle of EDI, including but not limited to, new Vendor and trading partner onboarding, EDI mapping, EDI specification creation and management, EDI requirements, testing and production support tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES EDI Setup and Maintenance: Support the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of EDI transactions ensuring compliance with PetSmart, vendor, customer and trading partner requirements Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the liaison between 3rd party EDI provider, business counterparts, technical developers and teams, management, vendors, and trading partners to facilitate smooth communication, troubleshooting and resolution of EDI related issues Testing and Validation: Help lead trading partner testing, validation, onboarding, and stabilization efforts Manage PetSmart EDI specifications and mapping documents for data mapping and translation requirements ensuring compliance across trading partners Monitor and manage the EDI Inbox, provide regular status updates to management and escalate as required Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot EDI errors, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity Responsible for 3rd party EDI Provider request and incident management, escalation and resolution Support of project initiatives providing subject matter expertise and contribute to project estimation activities, high level designs, and test plan input to ensure best practice EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 3-6+ years of experience in an EDI related role: EDI Coordination, setup, testing, monitoring, and execution Proficient and familiar in EDI process and standards, ANSI X12: purchasing, merchandising, warehouse management, carrier, invoicing areas as well as EDI VANs (Value-Added Networks), FTP, and AS2 protocol Domain knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Retail processes a plus SAP, OpenText, and EDI Translator (Tibco, OpenText, Sterling, etc) experience a plus Excellent customer service orientation Organized, with strong attention to detail Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team oriented/collaborative work style Works well in fast-paced environment About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
