eCompressor System Development Manager
With his deep technical know-how and rich experience at eCompressor field, the eCompressor system development manager will be as a technical expert to lead the team to develop and validate the eCompressor from concept to SOP under collaborating with cross function teams. As well as leading as a technical interface to the customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to support the eCompressor business successfully.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Major technical interface to customers

1.Act as a technical leading role to communicate with customers regarding eCompressor key features and requirements.

2.Understand and interpret customer technical requirements, to translate them and define the internal requirements of eCompressor for development, including key components parameters, for example eMotor and so on.

3.Use experience and know-how of eCompressor to technically convince customers with our technological advantages and identify the technical gap to close it.

Leading product development

1.Leading eCompressor structuring and optimizing the design (e.g., scroll optimization, thermal management and so on) from concept to SOP, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory requirements.

2.To develop the competitive eCompressor with the right definition of performance, cost and timing targets.

3.Lead to solve and implement good solutions for key parameters of eCompressors, e.g.NVH.

4.Drive VAVE initiatives to reduce BOM costs while maintaining reliability (e.g., material selection, creative design, etc).

Support SCM and Manufacturing

1.Understand eCompressor related supplier well and technical support supply chain to qualify suppliers for critical components of eCompressor related, including PPAP approvals and process audits. 2.Drive from technical side to define key requirement of eCompressor critical components to suppliers. (e.g. eMotor)

3.Understand the eCompressor assembly key process well, and work with manufacturing plants to ensure product design for high value and manufacturability

4.Support plants to define EOL spec and key test needed during manufacturing

Support Test

1.Understand the critical test protocols and definition of eCompressor, for example eCompressor specific durability (e.g., 50,000-cycle accelerated life testing), NVH and EMC.

2.Work together with test engineer to find out the test equipment/resource and test setup for eCompressor.

3.Support test engineer to structure the validation plan, and test specifications for eCompressor.

Team eCompressor capability improvement

1.Responsible for structuring and maintaining the product’s design guidelines.

2.Provide the constructive suggestion to the eCompressor program team and support for coaching engineers in team.

Leading eCompressor problem solving

1.Understand the most potential failure modes of eCompressor and theory of failures modes, lead cross function team to identify the root cause and solve the failures.

Product trend insights

1.Understand the customer needs, competitor’s situation, market trend to have the right product definitions of eCompressor product line. Good understanding of Heat pump operation & EV Thermal 2.Management current and future trends related with compressors, such as new refrigerants coming to market and their impact on technology

Innovation IP insights

1.To understand the key IPs of eCompressor and compare with our competitors’ design, and lead to have creative innovations for our products.

Strictly abide the EHS rules and regulations and behavior guidelines in the plant.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or directly related engineering discipline or similar, M.S. preferred.At least 8 years of experience in engineering and/or project leadership on scroll eCompressor development in the Automotive field, eCompressor technical field expert is preferred.Good English in oral and writing in daily business.Good at working in an international and technically demanding environmentOutstanding verbal communication, technical writing, documentation, and presentation skillsBroad understanding of compressors and their integration into the thermal systemExperience with ASPICE and ISO26262 is preferred.Ability to translate customer specific requirements into technical specifications.Huge knowledge and experience on the FMEA of eCompressor and capable of having a solution on it.Have deep know-how on design solution implementation for eCompressor industrialization later.Well-know of key components parameters and supply chain of eCompressors, e, g. eMotor.Huge experience on eCompreossor performance, durability and validationsThermal module knowledge and refringent loop knowledge is plus.Motivative and strong ownership.
