Per diem, Various shifts. Shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 7:00 PM – 11:30 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM and 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM. Weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an ECMO Specialist to:
Monitor, operate, and adjust ECMO circuits and the components to maintain patient specific parameters. Continually assess and evaluate ECMO circuit and troubleshoot any difficulties with communication to the ECMO team. Partner with ECMO Coordinators and Physician Leadership to advance the ECMO program to include quality improvement and education development. Assist in staff training and quality and outcome review to ensure alignment with the ELSO guidelines. Qualifications Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited School for Respiratory Care Required or Degree in Nursing Required or Graduate of Perfusion Program Required Baccalaureate degree Preferred Work Experience 1 year of critical care experience Required 2 years of critical care experience Preferred Experience teaching patients and families Required Licenses & Certifications Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner AND RRT Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care Required or Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin Required or Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) as recognized by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) and State of Wisconsin Licensure as a Licensed Perfusionist Required BLS/CPR certified Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or willingness to obtain Preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or willingness to obtain Preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or willingness to obtain Preferred Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) certification Preferred Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification Preferred Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer.
