Lyra Caregiver Assistance Program - Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year
Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures (location specific), pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific), contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Has the ability to modify procedures, to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.
This position requires shared coverage for stand by and call back emergency studies in the evenings and weekends. This may include shared regional coverage to other Portland facilities and or rotation through staffed weekend shifts.

Required qualifications:
Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationPreferred qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Applied Science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available. Pediatric echocardiography experience. Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices). Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures.
