Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified fulltime Certified Echocardiograph Technician in New Brunswick, NJ. This position will perform adult and pediatric echocardiographic studies including M mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments damaged floors walls ceiling tiles unsecured areas and medical errors etc.

Required:
Experience in Cardiac ultrasound M mode 2D, 3 D,Color Flow Imaging, and TEEExperienced in diagnostic care procedures 1 to 3 years Diagnostic Cardiac testing CPR American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International CCI certification must be obtained within 18 months of hirePreferred:
Bilingual English and Spanish preferredCertifications and Licenses Required:

Day Shift, 40 hours/week Full Time Schedule Requires travel to Edison, NB, DaytonEssential Functions:
Performs 2-D, M-Mode Echo, Color flow, Pulse Doppler Studies with skill and Competence. Can function independently at a level that achieves optimum visualization and analysis of intra cardiac diagnostic information. Use an enhancing agent (Definity) when appropriate.Ensure that the appropriate policies and protocols are followed during all procedures.Obtain measurements and calculations accordingly on the Echo Machines. Be able to obtain diagnostic information necessary for interpretation of each individual echo study. Notify Cardiologist of Emergent Critical Values at the time of study. Mastering pied-off probe during echo exams. Perform TEE Exams with skill and confidence. Perform Stress Echo & Dobutamine Stress Echo with skill and confidence. Master Contrast agent (Definity) injections with skill and confidence. Determine when to administer contrast agents.Maintain all necessary paperwork such as patient face sheets, keep accurate daily Cardiologist worksheets as well as department worksheet. Enter all data on Echo equipment and computer ISCV database after each study is completed as well to insure charges drop – to begin & end exam, for the procedure immediately. Responsible to keep current within area of technical expertise. Provide technical support to other staff members as needed or required. Participate in department specific process improvement and Quality initiatives to maintain ICAEL Accreditation.Other Duties:
