The technologist will perform echocardiograms at a technical level with indirect supervision. This position requires the technologist to work independently and perform quality exams. Performs all activities in an ethical and professional manner. *_Essential Functions_* * Operates and controls ultrasound equipment, while obtaining good diagnostic quality images and process studies appropriately. * Schedules same day add-on exams and works with the scheduling department to schedule exams in the most economical and efficient manner. * Properly assists, transfers, and immobilizes patients with proper techniques and devices. * CPR certification is required. * Interviews patients and reviews orders, obtains patient history, and reviews prior images and reports. * Assist the cardiologist/radiologist as needed. * Assists in transporting of patients to and from the department as needed. * Accurately enter charges for exams and supplies. * May be required to perform other assignments from time to time as requested by the Department Leader. * Rotate call, holidays, and weekends as needed. *_Education:_* Associate's degree is required. *_License/Certification:_* Registered RDCS by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. *_Experience:_* One year experience performing adult echocardiography.
