The position of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant is done for the purpose of providing support to the instructional process by serving as an assistant to the teacher; following lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from student's parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. Education required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess, or be eligible to obtain, a Child Development "Assistant" (or higher) Permit, which includes 6 units of ECE/CD courses.
