These classrooms provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment for young children from birth to age five. They serve both typically developing children and those with developmental delays or disabilities, offering rich opportunities for growth and social interaction.
+ Class size includes up to 10 students without disabilities and 5–8 students with disabilities
+ Each classroom is supported by 2 paraprofessionals
+ The role is for a Lead Teacher position
· Location: Portland, OR
+ Start: 7/7/25 - 7/12/25 (training ) then 8/18/25
+ Length: Through 25/26 school year and beyond!
+ OR TEACHING CERTIFICATION REQUIRED w/ SPED endorsement
+ Pay: 52 / HR
+ Mileage reimbursement
+ Travel stipends available for out-of-state applicants

Job Description:
The EI/ECSE Specialist provides direct, monitoring, and consultation services for young children with disabilities from birth to entry into kindergarten and their families which address cognitive, social, and affective development, as well as general skill areas of communication, motor, and self help to achieve developmentally appropriate play skills and preschool skills. The Specialist will work as a member of a Trans-disciplinary Services Team to complete eligibility evaluations, determine the developmental needs of children, develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), and deliver services integrated with those of other professionals into the learning environments of young children

The Early Intervention Specialist works withchildren in a variety of settings to help implement personalized focused treatmentprograms to increase positive outcomes and independence.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate or early childhood educationas required by state regulations and/or contract
+ One year experience as an Early Intervention Specialistpreferred
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
