Role Overview:
The Early Career Talent Acquisitions Specialist is responsible for consulting with business leaders to understand early career workforce needs and develop talent acquisition strategies to source, attract and hire best-in-class talent. They will build strong relationships with students to promote Smith+Nephew Early Career programs and hire top talent. They will also partner with the Talent Programs Lead to coordinate and deliver Smith+Nephew’s internship program and components of our new graduate programs.

Planning:
Partner with the Director, Early Career Talent, HR, and the hiring managers to develop creative recruitment strategies for early career positions and in anticipation of future workforce planning needsIn alignment with the early career recruitment strategy, register and make payment for events (including campus and national conferences where applicable), and oversee event logistics to ensure successful S+N attendance and executionDrive the strategy for campus recruitment efforts, including engaging with and training stakeholders, alumni, and campus teams, to ensure an effective and positive recruitment experiencePartner with our Sourcing team to build and nurture talent pipelines, leveraging our recruitment technologyDrive interview processes to effectively assess early career talent while providing a positive candidate experienceSupport and contribute to governance of early career recruitment as well as ongoing process improvements surrounding talent acquisition processesExecution:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process to integrate talent into the organization, which includes creating a positive candidate experience, evaluating skills, goals and competencies to determine the best fit for the role and the organization, and handling offer preparation and negotiationSupport multi-site/country recruitment environment by working with the hiring managers and candidates remotely via MS Teams, email, phone, and other technology (as well as in-person, when appropriate)Leverage strategic platforms to source talent including talent pipelines, campus events, conferences, social media, relevant job boards, etc.Ensure recruitment process complies with Smith & Nephew policies and federal and state guidelines and proper documentation and record keeping is maintainedIn partnership with the Talent Programs Lead, coordinate and execute the S+N Internship Program, creating a unique and positive experience for our interns in support of their professional development and in support of building a strong talent pipeline for S+N for future full time rolesCoordinate components of our new graduate programsPartner with the Director, Early Career Talent to implement and support the intern conversion processIf needed, collaborate with the broader Talent Acquisition team to support requisition bandwidthReporting and Communication:
Must be a 100% compliant when using the Applicant Tracking System and other technologyTrack metrics to ensure ROI of recruitment activity and program effectiveness and contribute to ideas for continued improvementProvide clear and concise reporting to business leaders and HR colleagues for tracking progress in sourcing candidates for current as well as anticipated open rolesFoster and maintain strong internal relationships with HR colleagues and business leaders. Integrate and develop recruitment processes to best meet the tactical and strategic needs of the businessRequired Skills & Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years of experience recruiting. Experience recruiting early careers talent is required.Global experience is strongly preferredExperience supporting campus/career eventsDemonstrated passion for early careers talent recruitment and programsExperience creating awareness around a company’s Employee Value PropositionDemonstrated success with leveraging sourcing tools, social media, networking, and other creative sourcing strategies to find and attract talentStrong analytical and reporting skillsExperience using an ATS (preferably Workday)Experience using an RMP (preferably Beamery) is preferredExperience using a hiring/interviewing platform (preferably HireVue) is preferredWorking knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPointCompetences:
